Jamaican Me Crazy

Taylor Forester here. I just returned from my eight days off!  It’s been a crazy two weeks.  Last Saturday, June 28th I married David Forester.  The day was perfect, thanks to Old Hat.  Robert was our pianist.  He did a great job and we were fortunate to have him be a huge part of our wedding ceremony.  Zac designed our invitations and programs.  Dustin cancelled a good friend’s wedding, so he could come to ours.  Todd Milligan made a fool of himself on the dance floor to get the party going. Todd Adams flew in all the way from Florida to attend our wedding.  Joe got all dressed up and gave up a Saturday evening to come and Geoff took over all of my work, so that I could take eight days of vacation.  So I am really not sure how we EVER would have gotten married without all the boys at Old Hat, Thank you!

Unfortunately our pictures are not online yet, but you can get a sneak peak at a slideshow on Holli’s blog, if you are interested: (check the Monday, June 30 post).

On Monday, June 30 we left the country for a very relaxing honeymoon in Jamaica.  We could not have asked for a better trip.  We stayed at the all-inclusive Sandals resort in Montego Bay.  We ate so much food and gained more weight than we lost before the wedding.  Even though the portion sizes were smaller, we found ourselves snacking on curly fries and sipping on pina coladas between every meal.  Neither of us had ever been to an all-inclusive resort, so it was odd to finish a meal and leave without paying.

Jamaicans lead such a different lifestyle than we do in America.  They were all so friendly and laid back.  When I asked them to take a picture of David and me they would say, “yeah mon, no problem.

The water was crystal clear and absolutely beautiful.  We spent every afternoon playing in the ocean or laying on the beach.

The sun rises much earlier in Jamaica.  The first morning that we tried to see it, we missed it by about half an hour and the last morning was cloudy and slightly overcast, so we did not get a great view of the sunrise, as I had hoped.
