the professional softball franchise. View team website
The Spark open play June 15-17 by hosting the SIS Vipers for a three-game series at the
University of Central Oklahoma before beginning play on July 1 at Hall of Fame Stadium
in Oklahoma City.
What began as a request for Old Hat Creative to develop a brand identity and logo for
the Spark quickly grew into a comprehensive marketing services agreement, through
which Old Hat Founder Zac Logsdon and his team now oversee all marketing initiatives
on behalf of the franchise.
Under Logsdon's direction, Old Hat is providing the following marketing services to the
OKC Spark:
Marketing/Communications Strategy
Digital Marketing Strategy
Web/Digital Strategy and Presence
Community Engagement Programs
Gameday Experience
Fan Engagement Elements
Creative Production (social media graphics, website content)
With interest and excitement for the Spark’s inaugural season building, and Opening
Day just 78 days away, Old Hat has delivered the following marketing and fan
engagement assets in the past four weeks:
Launched a highly successful season ticket campaign that surpassed team sales
goals;
Designed and launched team website with ticket sales and e-commerce functionality
(www.okcspark.com);
Designed and introduced OKC Spark digital/social media platforms, which have
quickly captured more than 18,000 followers across Twitter (+5,700), Instagram (+5,400)
and Facebook (+7,400);
Launched official merchandise e-commerce platform;
Developed team mascot (creation, naming, artwork, liaison with production
company);
Designed facility graphics
“Working with the Spark is an absolute blast,” said Logsdon who, in addition directing
operations for Old Hat, also serves as Chief Marketing Officer for the franchise. “How
often do you have the opportunity to launch a brand-new professional sports franchise
in a brand-new league? When Team Owner Tina Floyd approached us about
overseeing marketing operations for the franchise, it was an automatic and enthusiastic
‘yes’, and we are absolutely honored to do so.”
"Opening Day is right around the corner and you can feel the interest and excitement
building not just in Oklahoma City, but across the region. Fans are guaranteed not only
to see many of the best players in the world, but to have an absolutely great time at
the ballpark," added Logsdon.
