Old Hat Swings For The Fences With Bat Around

If it involves a ball, a bat and a breakthrough opportunity for a sport, chances are Old Hat Creative has its mitts all over it.

As announced earlier this month, Old Hat has been selected to develop and

direct the full range of consumer marketing programs in support of the Oklahoma City Spark, a Women's Professional Fastpitch (WPF) softball franchise that will debut in 2023.

Continuing with the ball and bat theme, Old Hat is also the creative agency working in support of Farrell Sports as it introduces Bat Around – a 21st Century presentation of one of the core skills of baseball, bringing modern-day fun and accessibility to America’s pastime.

Bat Around utilizes innovation and technology to “gamify” the batting cage experience, turning the science of hitting into a no-stress opportunity for families and friends to gather and celebrate the fun of baseball.

Working with Matt Farrell, Founder and President of Farrell Sports and Chief Executive Officer of Bat Around, Old Hat has developed the full brand identity system for Bat Around, including a hard-hitting logo, digital / social media platforms, website and style guide. Old Hat has also assisted in developing the go-to-market strategy for Bat Around, including a highly successful debut at the 2023 American Baseball Coaches Association Convention earlier this month in Nashville.

One of Bat Around’s co-founders is former Major League Baseball (MLB) Manager Clint Hurdle (1,269 career MLB wins). Plus, the company has a group of 12 former MLB players who, collectively, have more than 25,000 big league hits as advisors on the project.

Bat Around will be rolling out a minimum of 10 beta locations in the Spring of 2023, with a wider national introduction throughout the year.
